All Star Team Challenge
Update 2/23/21 As with our other WI HSBC events, we have established the following COVID protocols for the 2021 All Star Team Challenge.
Masks will be required for all bowlers, coaches, spectators, volunteers and staff. The mask should cover the nose and mouth. Masks may be pulled down or removed by a bowler while on the approach. Masks may also be lowered while eating or drinking. There will be no exceptions to this requirement!
The number of spectators for this event will be limited to 1 per bowler on the submitted team roster. We have invoiced all districts for their team entry fees, as well as $25/team for 5 wristbands. All wristbands (players, coaches and spectators) will be mailed to the team’s coach for distribution to their players & spectators. THERE WILL BE NO WRISTBANDS AVAILABLE ON-SITE.
If in the past week you have experienced any of the symptoms of COVID 19 and/or come in close contact with someone who has tested positive or been diagnosed with the virus, you will not be allowed to attend the event at AMF West in Milwaukee. Please work with your district coordinator to find an eligible alternate player.
Any questions or concerns should be forwarded to Roger Dalkin at the BCAW Office.
When: Saturday, March 13, 2021
Where: AMF West Lanes, Milwaukee
Each year the BCAW Wisconsin High School Bowling Club concludes the high school bowling season with the All Star Team Challenge. All 14 of our high school districts are invited to send their top five individuals based on their year-end fill percentage in order to send a boys and girls all star team. All of the boys’ teams and girls’ teams compete in separate divisions.
The tournament format combines a singles competition and a team competition with total pins from both events added together to determine the top three teams in each division. All five bowlers roll three games of singles competition and awards and scholarships are presented to the top boys and girls prior to the team competition. The team competition is ten games of baker games. BCAW provides $1,700 in scholarships to our top performers in both the singles and team portion of this event!
The top three teams earn a berth in the step ladder competition. The 2nd and 3rd seed advancing teams each roll two baker games with total pins deciding which team advances to the take on the top seed in each division. Each team bowls two baker games and the team with the highest two game total is crowned the champion in each division. Awards are handed out to the top three teams in each division once competition is finished.
THANK YOU to 900 Global for sponsoring and to Classic Lanes Fox Valley for hosting the 2019 Challenge!
