BCAW to Host Wisconsin Vintage Alleys Tour
If you follow BCAW Executive Director Yvonne Bennett on Facebook you have no doubt seen some of the vintage era lanes that are still operational in Wisconsin. There are several bars, taverns, supper clubs and pizzerias with four or six lanes in them. BCAW is offering for what is believe to be a FIRST in the nation . . . the Wisconsin Vintage Alleys Tour on Sunday, October 29th.
The escorted tour will have up to 35 guests joining Bennett on a chartered motor coach to visit four locations to experience bowling the way the game was before automatic scoring and synthetic lanes. Featured on the tour will be BCAW member centers: Strikes, Spares & Spirits in Iron Ridge (4 lanes), Ley’s Bark River Lanes in Sullivan (6 lanes), The Fort Atkinson Club (2 lanes with manual/human pinsetters) and Cornerstone Palmyra Bowl (4 lanes).
The tour includes transportation, bowling in each of the four centers, lunch & dinner plus snacks/beverages on the bus and prizes. Thanks in part to sponsorship by Strike Ten Entertainment, the tour is being offered at the affordable price of just $119! For more information and to register, please check out the BCAW website.
