Rising PBA Star Kyle Troup to Appear at State HS Championships

 In News

Through our partnership with Storm Products, Kyle Troup of Taylorsville, NC will be adding some extra color and excitement to our 20th Annual Wisconsin High School Bowling State Championships at Dale’s Weston Lanes on March 2-4, 2018.  Troup is part of the youthful shift in players out on the PBA Tour today and is the son of equally flamboyant PBA tour legend Guppy Troup.

The energetic two-hander has two PBA national titles and 10 PBA regional titles to his credit.  Earlier this year he won his second national PBA title with doubles partner Jesper Svensson, another young two-hander.  With PBA earnings just over $86,500 in 2017, this has been a break-out year for Troup.

The 26-year-old wrapped up the year with an impressive showing at last month’s World Series of Bowling in Reno.  Fans will have an opportunity to watch Troup in the televised step ladder finals of the PBA World Championship Tournament airing on ESPN on Sunday, December 31st at noon CST.

We are proud to have Storm as our title sponsor for the Storm Doubles Scholarship Tournament which is held in conjunction with the Wisconsin High School Bowling State Championships on Sunday, March 4, 2018.   Open to any current Wisconsin high school bowler (grades 9-12), registration is now open online.  The cost is $40/team in advance or $50 onsite.  Last year the event awarded nearly $5,000 in scholarships!
