Nominations Sought for BCAW Board of Directors

 In News

The Board of Directors is the governing body of BCAW and has the ultimate policy and fiscal responsibilities of the organization. The board is elected by the membership to provide vision, leadership and oversight of the organization.

Board members should know the “big picture” of the board’s major functions. Most organizations rely on the board to fulfill five fundamental roles:  governance, policy & position development, visionary, fiduciary and recruitment.

The BCAW Board of Directors generally meets in person twice per year, plus by teleconference as necessary between meetings.

All board members are elected and serve for a term of two years.  At our October 1, 2018 Annual Meeting at the Kalahari Resort in the Wisconsin Dells, the BCAW membership will vote to elect the following board positions:  president, vice president and four directors.  The four incumbent directors (Beyer, Posnanski, Serwe & Torosian) are eligible for reelection at this meeting.  President Steve Cieslewicz will term-out and is ineligible to run for reelection.  Therefore, we are especially seeking candidates for both the president and vice president positions.

For more information, please review the BCAW Board Candidate form or contact BCAW Executive Director Yvonne Bennett at the BCAW Office.
