BCAW Office to Close Indefinitely Wednesday 3/25/20
As employers around the country continue to grapple with COVID-19 and the impact on their businesses, BCAW is no different. We have worked diligently to keep everyone informed, in these unprecedented and challenging times. On Friday I had a conversation with BCAW President Erik Gialdella, providing him with an update on the status of the BCAW office operations in light of the continued call for social distancing.
Given the lack of necessary work to be performed on behalf of our member bowling centers, who have been shuttered since Tuesday, March 17th; we feel now is the appropriate time to close the BCAW office and cease employee work efforts indefinitely, effective Wednesday, March 25th.
We will be sending out the Pepsi Tournament refund checks this week. We are also working to finalize the results of our Storm Scholarship Doubles Tournament with scholarship deposits being made into the bowlers’ SMART accounts this week as well.
Decisions regarding the scheduled Wisconsin Adult Youth Scholarship Tournament and Wisconsin Vintage Alleys Tour will be made on or before Friday, April 3rd. Should we find ourselves having to cancel these events, refund checks will be processed and mailed immediately.
We appreciate our staff’s dedication to the association and look forward to having them return when we can get back to business as usual! In the meantime, please take care of yourselves and your loved ones. We are strongly encouraging everyone to practice social distancing, as “flattening the curve” is essential in order for us to be able to return to our daily routines soon.
Yours in bowling,
Yvonne Bennett
BCAW Executive Director
