Search for Next BCAW Executive Director to Begin Soon
PRESS RELEASE – PUBLIC ANNOUNCEMENT
June 16, 2021
Pewaukee, Wisconsin
Contact: Yvonne Bennett or Erik Gialdella
In a letter to the BCAW Board of Directors, Yvonne Bennett, CAE tendered her resignation as BCAW Executive Director effective January 1, 2022, while reaffirming her desire to continue working for BCAW through her previously announced retirement date of May 2024. This is a position she has held since February 2014.
In her letter, Bennett stated “I believe this will provide the opportunity for the board to give thorough consideration to several critical issues facing the association. Strategically . . . addressing the top staff leadership position is the key first step. Transition is never easy or quick; and rarely planned for. I’ve been talking about succession planning for years, and now is the time for that work to begin for BCAW.”
BCAW President Erik Gialdella will be appointing an ad hoc committee to conduct the search and interview process for the association’s next chief staff executive, with an anticipated hire date no later than early 2022. The job description and formal job announcement will be published later this summer. Candidates will be invited to submit their resumes for consideration at that time.
It is requested that those who may be interested in this position refrain from contacting board and staff members until the search committee has had an opportunity to begin their work.
