Announcement Regarding COVID Protocols (9/18/21)
BCAW is very excited to be able to meet in person this year and our venue the Red Lion Hotel Paper Valley is looking forward to hosting our event! We are considering the safety of in-person attendees at this meeting our top priority. We will be following the current guidelines recommended by the CDC. If you are fully vaccinated against COVID-19 you should follow the CDC’s Interim Public Health Recommendations for Fully Vaccinated People. People who are not fully vaccinated against COVID-19, should use prevention strategies, such as wearing masks, physical distancing, hand hygiene, and respiratory etiquette. Our decisions and preventive measures are guided by the requirements and recommendations by both the CDC and local health authorities in which BCAW will closely monitor changing conditions and decide if protocols will change. The responsibility for a safe and healthy event environment is shared among BCAW, our venue, and every participant. As part of your duty of care responsibilities, you should NOT attend if you:
* are experiencing, or within the 10 days prior have experienced signs and symptoms of COVID-19;
* believe that you may have been exposed to a confirmed or suspected case of COVID-19; and/or
* have been diagnosed with COVID-19 and are not yet cleared as non-contagious by the health care team responsible for your treatment.

1:15 – 2:30 p.m.  “Improve Your Digital Marketing Game” with Rocky Bush, Creative Ninja
Fresh from this year’s BPAA Bowl Expo, unpack the layout of your digital marketing game plan with Creative Ninja, Rocky Bush. This session will outline the key necessities for your website which serves as the foundational piece. For social media, Rocky will show you the importance of Facebook and Instagram and how to creatively grow brand awareness, drive revenue, and increase search engine optimization.

1:15 – 2:30 p.m.  “What’s YOUR Game Plan?” an interactive facilitated panel discussion to help bowling center owners of all sizes navigate through the tough decisions necessary to protect the future of their business.
Think it will never happen to you?  Not in your family?  Hear from two BCAW member proprietors, both second-generation owners about how a death in the family affected their business.  We also have the former owner of a second generation supper club who after 30 years, recently sold his business and will share his family’s story.  Learn how developing an “exit strategy” will help ease the transition of ownership whether voluntarily (through retirement or the sale of your center) or involuntarily (through death or disability of an owner or family member).  We have also assembled experts in the field of business planning and valuation, to include critical information specific to the bowling industry. This session is designed to help all bowling center owners . . . a new generation of first time entrepreneurs as well as seasoned long-time second, third and even fourth generation family businesses.
Our panelists will be:
Diane Mallow, Watertown Bowl 18 and Watertown Bowl North
Pete Riopelle, Village Bowl
Chris Marsicano, The Village Supper Club, Delavan
Jayne McQuillan, Journey Consulting, LLC
Mike Monroe, The Hansell Group & First Frame Management
